Mole Verde Seasoning

Mole Verde is an all natural blend that will have you feeling one with the earth again! We call it our Mexican herbs de provence mix because it contains epazote, oregano, parsley and mint. Use it as a dry rub or make a 5 minute mole sauce with butter or oil, mole verde, a pinch of salt, cornstarch to thicken, milk of choice and a touch of lime and/or cilantro. This earthy blend compliments any meal whether you are in the mood for mushroom and eggplant, chicken or fish.

Mole Verde Seasoning

Ingredients: Parsley, Lime Powder, Cumin, Black Pepper, Hot Guajillo Pepper, Cilantro Seed, Fennel Seed, Mint, Epazote, Onion Powder, Garlic Powder, Clove and Oregano

Green Rice

1 cup Jasmine Rice

1 tsp Olive oil

1/2 Onion, chopped

1 Lemon, zest only

1 1/2 cup Water or broth

1 tbsp Mole Verde Seasoning

  1. Rinse the rice and strain. While it is straining, add a heavy bottomed pot over a medium-high flame. Add a tsp of oil, the chopped onion and cook for 3 minutes. Add the Mole Verde Seasoning and stir 1 minute. Add the rice, water and zest. Bring to a rolling boil before covering, setting the flame to low and cooking for 15 minutes. Once your timer goes off, take off the heat and let stand for 10 minutes before fluffing with a fork. Add Mil Usos (Everything seasoning) if it needs more salt and pepper. *Rice will absorb the flavors you put into it, add enough salt or seasonings to appreciate the flavors
