Savvy & Well- A Social Venture

Our latest cooking classes are a collaboration with the Punta de Mita Foundation.

Culinary Education has been an untapped asset for many communities all over the world. For generations, cooking has been seen as a daily task meant to be checked off in order to provide sustenance. As the social landscape changes, more and more people are relying on fast food, microwaved meals, and convenience stores to provide their meals and check off their to-do list. For something so valuable, such as the nutrition and food you consume for your body’s well-being, why would you ever rely on low-quality ingredients with possible harmful cooking methods?

Savvy & Well is a seasoning line built to undo all the negative effects of the current culinary status. Savvy & Well offers a seasoning line of 9 blends. Each containing 5-14 herbs and spices that are free of gluten, animal derivative, MSG, GMOs, and even salt. Along with these spice blends, Savvy & Well also provides healthy recipes for all types of people. We provide vegetarian and vegan alternatives, and even desserts which are more health conscious.

Aside from the great benefits provided by just the culinary aspect, here at Savvy & Well, we consider ourselves a social venture. A percentage of profits are used to help fund culinary education in communities that need it most. We’ve spearheaded several projects in two cities, one in the United States the other in Mexico.

In Richmond, Virginia, an area considered a “food desert”, we’ve worked with Church Hill community, Shalom Farms, and Edible Education. Now in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, we are working with Los Mangos Library and Punta de Mita Foundation to provide cooking classes to kids and adults who want to learn how to cook more vegetables and healthy food. Not only are we spreading skills needed to create healthy and delicious food, we are providing information to better assist future generations to take control of their health through education and quality food. Join us on this social venture to improve the lives of everyone in your community.
