Being new to the Savvy & Well spices, I was excited to try them all out and begin, what I hope to be, many experimental recipes in the future. Many of us today experience such busy lives that nobody has time to spend all day in the kitchen crafting the perfect gourmet meal. I am a full-time student, with a job and an internship, for example. Consequently, I can tell you from experience, I definitely don’t have the time. With these spices in your kitchen there’s no need to worry! From the second the seal was broken on the bottles I was surrounded by the incredible aromas. Needless to say, I am eager to get tasting and experience the flavors.
Speaking of bottles, it’s almost all you get with your set of spices! A simple cardboard box carefully formed around each seasoning jar, keeps them safely in place and organized with no plastic in sight!
Above all, I always strive to make my food well-seasoned. But, it can be difficult creating that perfect combination with what I have on hand. Certainly, having a variety of spice blends that work so well together will not only perfect what I cook, but save me time!
How can I use them?
I have not made an official dish… yet, but I am already thinking of anything and everything I can use them on. My mind can get creative, and when I am short on time (or just plain lazy) there’s plenty of options to choose from in the Savvy & Well Living eBook! Top of my list to try first will be Choco Chai, mostly because of my killer sweet tooth that runs in the family. Also because I have never come across another spice blend created specifically for sweet uses! I have some vanilla ice cream in the freezer, a few minutes in the blender and I’m excited to see what magic can happen.
Best part of all is there is no chef’s coat required! A few simple ingredients and the right spice blend will turn anything in to a gourmet meal, without the cost and calories! If you are like me and not a full time chef, these are a great way to expand our palates and create amazing meals with amazing taste!
